Corona Policy for Leipzig Monday Contact Improvisation class and other Leipzig Body Research CI events

Leipzig for the last several days has been over the 35 7-day incidence level with covid, so we are supposed to be moving into more contact restrictions.  I intend to keep the Monday classes within the government requirements for corona safety.  Besides the usual of self-quarantining until tested with known exposure and communicating with all recent contacts (including me as lead contact for the class) with a positive test, we will be using the following protocol…

  • Contact tracing: everyone should sign in at the beginning of class with reliable contact information.  We use this regularly to keep track of class cards, but will also use this in the event that anyone in class has a positive test result in the week after class. If you test positive, please contact Karl (culturalvariant@gmail.com, 015206354124), and Karl will then contact others from the class to get tested.
  • To participate in class, you will need to show one of the following or do a schnelltest at the door.
    • Proof of vaccination
    • Proof of confirmed infection and recovery
    • Proof of negative test in the last 48 hours

Someone will be at the door to greet people and confirm this. If you need one, we will have schnelltests at the door, but you will have to pay for the test yourself (they are relatively cheap, just 1 euro each).

To make things easier, you can get a CoronaPass app on your smartphone and then register your vaccination (or proof of infection or proof of recent test). It looks at the moment like you can still get free schnelltests done with certification, for example at DM markets with appointment.

I suspect that with the Corona Pass we will still be able to keep having open in-person CI classes for a while.  I believe at this point that the next restrictions would be in the following order…

  • Limit the number of non-vaccinated people in the class to 10 or less. This should not be a problem, as it seems most people who have been coming to class or jams are vaccinated.
  • Move to a closed group
  • Cancel in-person classes and move back to the online format (meet in pairs in living rooms and then zoom together for class)

In the event that an event is cancelled, full refunds can be offered.  For weekly classes, class cards could also be “paused” until classes restart.

regards
